Use case to consider

I am interested in controlling spin controls or sliderbars using gestures. With 10 fingers, it should be possible to control 10 slider bar controls simultaneously (simple up-down gestures). I have a complex model with about that many parameter inputs. I can view a plot of the model result. I would like to dynamically search the parameter space using gestures and view the plot for each parameter combination. Seems like a good application for Leap Motion.

User interface would have to allow the user to map fingers to spin controls and to control the sensitivity and time delay. Also need to store and reload the mapping.

Does this seem possible within this framework?

well this is a very simple implementation for leap in office.

Challenge i your usecase, is that it is very hard to figure out which finger is which.

What you get from the LEAP SDK is just a (almost) random ID of the finger when it sees it.
when the user then pulls out the finger from the scope and brings it back in, the finger will have a new ID.

so i might be hard to make the relationship between finger and slider.
